The furniture Inspection Company
We offer professional furniture inspection services across Newcastle.
Packages we offer
We offer three distinct service packages tailored to suit your specific needs and budget. Our Bronze package includes a detailed virtual inspection, giving you a convenient initial assessment that can be carried out easily from your home. The Silver package provides a thorough in‑person visual inspection, where one of our qualified experts visits your location to examine the furniture directly. For the most complete level of support, our Gold package delivers a full in‑person inspection alongside an in‑depth analysis of the item’s condition, plus additional guidance and extra assistance to fully strengthen and support your case.
Bronze Package
Our Bronze package is a convenient, cost‑effective solution at just £150 + VAT. You share clear photos, videos and details of your furniture and any issues, and our experts review everything to assess condition and faults. We provide a structured report with our professional findings — ideal for a clear initial assessment without an on‑site visit.
Silver package
Our Silver package costs £300 + VAT and includes a full in‑person inspection at your address. A qualified inspector will examine your furniture’s build, materials, finish and condition, recording any damage or faults. You’ll receive a detailed, accurate report — far more precise than a virtual check — ideal for supporting claims or complaints.
Gold package
Our Gold package costs £500 + VAT and is our most comprehensive service. It includes a full in‑person inspection to check structure, materials and build quality, followed by an in‑depth analysis of any faults and their likely causes. You’ll receive a detailed report plus extra guidance and support to help you present your case effectively for the best possible outcome.
Our Services to You
We carry out thorough inspections and testing across all furniture types, including upholstery, seating, mattresses, desks and tables, kitchen units, and storage furniture. Every assessment checks build quality, materials, safety, finish, and condition, ensuring you receive accurate results and reliable reports you can trust.
Upholstery testing
We carry out detailed upholstery testing and inspection to assess fabric quality, stitching, frame construction, padding, and fire safety compliance. Our checks identify wear, tears, loose seams, uneven filling, or poor workmanship, ensuring the item meets expected standards. You’ll receive an accurate report confirming condition and highlighting any defects or issues.
Seat testing
We conduct thorough seat testing to evaluate strength, stability, ergonomics, and build quality. Our inspections check the frame, joints, springs, and cushion support, ensuring the seat holds its shape and performs as intended. We identify any sagging, wobbling, structural weaknesses, or signs of poor construction, providing you with a detailed report of our findings.
Mattress testing
We carry out detailed mattress testing to assess support, firmness, edge stability, and overall construction. Our checks cover the core layers, fillings, fabric cover, and stitching, identifying any sagging, unevenness, lumps, or faults that affect comfort and performance. We also verify compliance with safety standards, providing you with a clear report of condition and any defects found.
Desk and table testing
We perform thorough testing for desks and tables, checking structural strength, stability, leg alignment, and joint integrity. Our inspections assess the surface finish, material quality, and weight-bearing capacity, identifying any wobbling, warping, cracks, or assembly faults. We confirm the item is fit for purpose and meets expected standards, delivering a clear report of its condition and any issues found.
Kitchen inspections
We carry out detailed kitchen inspections covering cabinets, worktops, doors, drawers, hinges, and fittings. Our checks assess build quality, alignment, stability, and finish, identifying any warping, loose fixings, damage, or poor installation. We also verify that materials and construction meet relevant standards, providing you with a clear report of condition and any defects found.
Storage furniture testing
We conduct comprehensive testing for storage furniture, including wardrobes, cupboards, chests, and shelving units. We inspect the frame, build quality, and stability, as well as all hardware such as hinges, runners, locks, catches, and fixings. Our checks identify any sticking doors, misaligned drawers, weak joints, or faulty fittings, confirming the unit is safe, functional, and built to last, with a full report of our findings provided.
